What’s a Warbird, Anyway?

What’s a warbird? You can be as specific, or as general as you want to be with adjectives, but in my mind, a warbird is a military aircraft that has been retired from service. It could be one or a hundred years old from my point of view too.

This on line magazine is devoted to warbirds… the airframes, and the people who own, operate, restore and maintain them. We’ll also present military aviation history in these pages too – markings, special color schemes and photographic records of warbirds. Obviously, there’s lots to tell through words and photos, but here we go, taking our first steps.
